COCKTAIL CARICATURES
Hello, my name is Sir Tadsworth Fernsby. If you didn’t guess where I’m from by hearing my name, well, I’d be more than delighted to tell you…I’m from London. And based on your lack of drawing this conclusion, I’m also assuming you’re not a secret agent. Like me. But, shhh.. it’s a secret.
A large part of what I do requires the exchanging of messages and information in clever, covert ways. Often times, I use a cocktail napkin to write down telephone numbers, addresses, secret codes, coordinates, and other secret agenty stuff. You see, cocktail napkins are perfect because they’re small, discrete, and easily transportable. I can fit 12 of them in my cummerbund alone!
Recently, I attended an exquisite event. As I sipped on my sherry, an artist of sorts slyly slipped me a cocktail napkin, but it didn’t have a note on it. Rather, it had a full color caricature of me!
It was the most clever, covert, and creative use of a cocktail napkin I’d ever seen in my life!
As I looked around, I noticed everyone at the party had lined up, waiting to have their own portrait drawn caricature-style on their cocktail napkin! It was the perfect keepsake to remember the event.
