FIELD OF SHAMROCKS
GREAT FOR: The morning of St. Patrick’s Day when you realize you totally forgot and don’t have anything green to wear.
YOU’LL NEED: Any cool green glitter nail color with larger sequins to create the illusion of shamrocks.
DIRECTIONS: Apply one or two coats of the glitter color to create a great shamrock look. Finish with a topcoat to prevent chipping. Make sure to allow each coat to dry before applying the next layer.
FUN TIP: Adding a base color of gold will give the pot of gold effect to go along with your shamrock field.
MIX AND MATCH ACCENT NAILS
GREAT FOR: The times you need something subtle yet stylish. This design uses accent nails to create a chic statement that looks great and leaves a little something to the imagination!
YOU’LL NEED: Solid Green Polish, Glitter Green Polish, Silver or Gold Polish, 1 medium sized shamrock sponge and 1 large shamrock sponge.
DIRECTIONS: Apply base coat and two coats of your solid green polish to each nail. Choose two accent nails. On the first accent nail apply one coat of the glitter polish. For the second accent nail, apply two coats of the silver or gold polish to your shamrock sponges and stamp them onto the nail.
Finish each nail with topcoat. Make sure to allow each coat to dry before moving to the next step.
FUN TIP: Choose one accent nail instead of two. Add the glitter polish and then stamp over it with the gold or silver polish for a different effect.
GREAT FOR: The adventurous artists out there who really want to make a statement and turn some heads!
YOU’LL NEED: Solid Green Polish, Solid Black Polish, Gold Polish, Light Green Polish, Nail Striping Brush
DIRECTIONS: Apply base coat and two coats of solid green polish to all nails. Use the striping brush to create one black vertical stripe on the right side of all but your accent nail.
Use the striping brush to create a gold vertical stripe next each black stripe. For your accent nail, create a black horizontal stripe at the top ¾ of the nail.
Use the striping brush to create a gold box around the black horizontal stripe (this creates the buckle effect). Use the striping brush to draw a four-leaf clover with the light green polish (1 line for the stem and 4 dots at the end for the leaves).
Finish each nail with a topcoat. Make sure to allow each coat to dry before moving to the next step.
FUN TIP: Try a glitter green polish instead of solid for even more flair.
