Advice Perfetta: Quick Workouts

Question: I want to start prioritizing exercise, but I am so busy! I know that is a cliche, but it’s true. Do you have any advice or suggestions on quick-but-effective workouts?

Although it’s summer aka beach body season, it’s important to maintain a healthy lifestyle all year round. That includes eating healthy foods (with treats in moderation of course) and getting regular exercise. 

Plenty of people like going to the gym or spending time going on a long run, but it is totally normal to lack the time to do the aforementioned. Sure, you could probably find a way to go once a week, but I agree with you; it’s better to find a routine of quick-but-effective workouts that you will actually be able to do on a regular basis. Below are 3 great options that you can do quickly, and do pretty much anywhere.

1. Jumping Rope. 10 minutes of non-stop jump-roping is the equivalent of a 30 minute run. Use a weighed jump rope for an even bigger, thorough burn.

2. Planks / Push Ups. Alternating between planks and pushups is a killer workout, and gets a lot of different muscle group. Find out how long you can plank for, and how many pushups you can do, and then do 3 alternating sets of each. Gradually add more time and more pushups.

3. Mini Trampoline. Super inexpensive, and they don’t take up much room. This is easy on your joints, gets the cardio pumping, and there are a crazy amount of jump and arm movement variations you can do to target different muscle groups.
